A tired, “sleepy” face and drooping eyebrows reveal our age and the intense pace of life. To eliminate these signs and restore a fresh, rested look to our face, we recommend a forehead lift.
This is one of the most popular surgical procedures, aimed at lifting the drooping eyebrows (brow lift). Additionally, by reshaping certain muscle fibers under the skin, we can smooth out fine wrinkles.
With the brow lift, we achieve an elevation of the eyebrows and forehead, bringing back a youthful and fresh appearance and improving the overall facial expression!
Surgical Mastery in Forehead Lifting:
Previously, the forehead lift was done with a coronal incision (a headband-like cut from one ear to the other just behind the hairline). However, this method was accompanied by significant swelling, pain, and longer recovery times.
With the use of modern medical technologies and methods, the forehead lift is now performed endoscopically. Through 3-5 tiny incisions, each 2 millimeters in length, deep in the scalp, endoscopic trocars are inserted to gradually detach the frontal muscle and remove part of the pulling muscles that drag the forehead down, thus allowing for overall lifting. The muscles are then suspended and anchored to the skull using an entirely absorbable system called Endotine.
The procedure is done under sedation and local anesthesia. Mild swelling is present in the area for a few days, and simple painkillers are sufficient to eliminate any discomfort, though they are not always necessary.
Who are the candidates for a brow lift?
Ideal candidates for a brow lift are people who show drooping across the entire forehead and a downward shift of the eyebrows, making their eyes appear “smaller” and their expression particularly tired and heavy.
Results of the Brow Lift: The results of the procedure are immediately visible:
- The forehead is fully lifted.
- The appearance of the upper eyelid and eyes improves.
- The eyebrows are lifted.
- Fine wrinkles are immediately smoothed.
- The results last 12 to 15 years.
